Pace Car Rental Pretoria, formerly Pender Car Rental, requires an individual who can act as a driver and car cleaner on a part-time basis. The position has the potential to grow into a more permanent position at a later stage if the branch performs adequately.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 recommended.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (and own it at least 24 months. Previous experience as a driver / messenger will be an advantage.
- Must be friendly, presentable, honest and reliable.
- Must be able to communicate well in English.
- Must be able to work with clients.
- Must be able to write clearly and neatly.
- Must live near Brooklyn in Pretoria and have the means to travel to Brooklyn on
relative short notice. Preference will be given to candidates living within a 10 km
radius from Brooklyn and who can be reached without difficulty via mobile
phone.
- Must have own transport to and from office.
- Must be able to work on some Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays when
required.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning exterior and disinfecting interior of vehicles.
- Perform basic maintenance on cars i.e. check fluids, tyre pressure / condition, charge batteries.
- Collect from and drop Head Office drivers at Gautrain Hatfield station.
- Delivery and collection of vehicles from clients.
- Explain basic rental contract conditions to clients.
- Complete vehicle check with clients.
- Fill cars at petrol station.
- Drive cars between Pretoria and Marlboro depots, to OR Tambo, etc.
- Perform odd jobs in and around office that can range from cleaning office space,
small paint jobs, etc.
Wage offered will be based on prior experience and/or qualifications.
