This tour can be done as a guided tour or as a guided self-drive in your own vehicle. A 4x4 vehicle is needed for Namaqua National Park Coastal Section

Just the Kgalagadi Section can be done as a shorter tour option. The same applies for the Namaqualand – West Coast Flower Section, which can be done as a shorter tour option.

Mountain desert and semi-desert coastline. This is what this tour offers the visitor. The first section of the tour runs through the barren unforgiving Richtersveld in the South African side of the Ai-Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier Park. Impressive landscapes, fascinating desert plants and mountain trails await the visitor. The diamond mining history, shipwrecks and 4x4 trails are part of the Diamond Coast section, covering more than 300 km of the South African coastline from the Orange River to Groenriviers Mouth.

This 4x4 tour goes through very remote areas, combining some loose sand tracks in a huge wilderness area, with good wildlife and wild camping. All campgrounds have only a few campsites far apart, with most overlooking pans and tourist density is low. Campsites are visited regularly by predators. This is one of the ultimate remote wilderness experiences.

Hierdie 4x4-toer gaan deur baie afgeleë gebiede en kombineer los sandpaaie in 'n groot wildernisgebied met goeie wildlewe en wilde kampering. Alle kampeerterreine het slegs 'n paar kampeerplekke ver uitmekaar, met die meeste wat oor panne uitkyk en die toeristedigtheid is laag. Kampeerplekke word gereeld deur roofdiere besoek. Dit is een van die mees afgeleë wilderniservarings.
