Dive Report – 29 May | Protea Banks

What can I say? Sharks everywhere you looked!

Dive 1 – Northern Caves was absolutely packed with ragged-tooth sharks. Reggies were everywhere, filling the caves and surrounding the reef. As if that wasn't enough, a tiger shark made an appearance, cruising past the divers and adding even more excitement to an already incredible dive.

Dive 2 was just as spectacular. The ragged-tooth sharks were still everywhere, and the tiger shark returned once again. To top it all off, blacktip sharks and bull sharks joined the action, creating one of those dives where there was always something happening in every direction.

Protea Banks is truly on fire right now. Huge numbers of ragged-tooth sharks, regular tiger shark encounters, and plenty of other sharks keeping divers entertained throughout the dives.

Days like this are exactly why Protea Banks is one of the world's greatest shark diving destinations.

They had a blast! 4 species of sharks in 2 days! Where in the world can can you get that? Very few places. Tiger shark on every dive!

Dive report 27 may - Protea Banks
Beautiful day with lots of rays and sharks!
Beautiful viz and calm seas.
Dive 1 Southern Pinnacles- Ragged-tooth sharks gathering for the mating season. On the up eagle rays and some blacktips.
Dive 2 Northern caves. The caves were empty but Ragged-tooth all were around, and a Ribbotail ray!
