Residents and visitors are advised to please take extra caution as heavy rains and wet conditions are expected across Velddrif and the surrounding Bergrivier region.

Please:
• Drive carefully and reduce speed on wet roads
• Avoid flooded roads and low-lying bridges
• Keep updated with local weather reports
• Allow extra travel time if you are visiting the area
• Support local businesses safely where possible during the rainy weather

Redelinghuys het ons Saterdag bederf met ’n pragtige dag vir die 2026 Sandveld Fees . Onder blou lug en met ’n heerlike atmosfeer was daar oral vriendelike gesigte en goeie gees.

Baie dankie aan almal wat uitgekom het om te ondersteun, saam te kuier en die dag te geniet. Van plaaslike inwoners tot besoekers. Dit was wonderlik om die gemeenskap so saam te sien.

’n Spesiale dankie ook aan ons borge, die Sandveld Fees Komitee en elke liewe persoon wat bygedra het om die sukses van die fees te verseker.

Dit was voorwaar ’n goeie dag en ’n sterk begin waarop daar in die toekoms gebou kan word.

Take a scenic summer drive to Verlorenvlei for birdwatching, photography and a cool breeze by the water. Stop for a refreshing coffee or picnic nearby.

Stop in Redelinghuys and visit the Sandveld Gallery at Sandveld Dorpshuys, then enjoy a coffee at Grounded Cafe just down the road. If you prefer a farm stop with treats, check out Die Rooi Stoor farm stall at Vensterklip Guest Farm for cool drinks, baked goods and local delights.
