We’re inviting passionate community members who want to help grow Villiersdorp’s tourism economy, support local businesses, and strengthen our town’s visibility. We are meeting this afternoon the 7th of October 2026 at 5:15pm at Die Alwyn Vintcent Padstal, and if you’d like to hear about our tourism association and potentially become involved, kindly pop in and meet the team.
🌿 Villiersdorp Tourism Association — Board Roles & Responsibilities:
Chairperson
• Provides leadership and direction for the Association.
• Oversees governance, meetings, and strategic planning.
• Represents VTA in community, municipal, and tourism sector engagements.
• Ensures projects and initiatives align with VTA’s mission and constitution.
Treasurer & Administration
• Manages financial records, budgeting, and reporting.
• Oversees membership records, compliance documents, and general administration.
• Ensures transparent financial practices and supports fundraising initiatives.
• Works closely with Chair and Marketing to support operational needs.
Marketing & Community Engagement
• Drives tourism promotion for Villiersdorp across digital and print channels.
• Builds relationships with local businesses, tourism operators, and community groups.
• Creates campaigns, newsletters, and event promotions.
• Supports growth of local tourism products and experiences.
Web & Digital Platforms
• Maintains the VTA website and ensures accurate listings for businesses and attractions.
• Updates events, news, and tourism information online.
• Works with Marketing to improve digital visibility and user experience.
• Ensures the website remains secure, functional, and community friendly.
