Did you know?
The Kruger National Park in South Africa celebrated its centenary on 31 May 2026, marking 100 years of conservation excellence and wildlife protection.

In 1926 it was formally proclaimed as South Africa's first national park which borders in the East Mozambique and in the North Zimbabwe.

To support and allow wildlife movement into adjacent areas during the dry season, in 1961 and over the years the fences were removed in the West and in the Northeast.

Today the wildlife can migrate into private wildlife conservation areas in the West and into Mozambique.
