cies of game. We cater for all methods for hunters (rifle, bow, muzzleloader, crossbow and handgun) from beginners to the big 5 for the serious trophy hunter. We believe in fair chase and ethical hunting. Clients are accompanied by well trained and experienced professional hunters (and trackers) and can be assured of a successful hunt and memorable hunt. We can offer you the added opportunity to hunt in Zimbabwe and Mozambique as we have concessions there. Makonya African Safaris is owned and managed by Jimmy and Heidi van Amstel. Their three children Imke, Adriaan and SG share their passion and love for nature and the wild. Jimmy has 13 years of hunting experience. He has hunted nearly all the african plainsgame and has been fortunate to take the Big 5 on several occasions. Jimmy has hunted extensively in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique and Namibia. Jimmy has an immaculate knowledge of hunting, bullet placing, animal tracking and behavior. When not on the hunting field, Jimmy resorts to farming with his father and brother on their family farm in the Vivo Region of the Limpopo Province.
