Waking up in the morning, looking at buffalo at out waterhole is a great privilege.

View allAfrican buffalo (or Cape buffalo) are massive, highly social bovids weighing up to 900 kg, renowned as one of Africa’s "Big Five" and known for their formidable, fused horns (boss) in males. They are unpredictable, dangerous to predators and humans, and depend on water daily, making them excellent swimmers that frequently wallow in mud.

Is it black and white, or white and black?
This is the question that nobody knows.
Our zebras are new, regulars , visiting our waterhole at Eagles view.

Zebras are African equines renowned for their unique black-and-white striped coats, which act as camouflage against predators and deterrents for biting insects. Closely related to horses and donkeys, they are highly social herbivores living in herds, feeding on grasses, and using powerful kicks to defend against predators like lions.

Eagles View Mabalingwe , a great variety of animals visits our waterhole every day .
Sitting and enjoying the awesome view from the house you will never want to leave this holiday destination.
The kudu

Both the greater kudu and its close cousin, the lesser kudu, have stripes and spots on the body, and most have a chevron of white hair between the eyes. Males have long, spiral horns. The greater kudu's horns are spectacular and can grow as long as 1.8 meters (about 6 feet), making 2-1/2 graceful twists.

Female greater kudus are noticeably smaller than the males. By contrast, lesser kudus are even smaller — about 90 centimeters at the shoulder. Males can weigh up to 105 kilograms (230 pounds), and females generally weigh about 22 kilograms less. Lesser kudus have smaller horns than their larger cousins and have conspicuous white patches on the upper and lower parts of the neck. Although both species are bluish-gray, grayish-brown, or rust color, the lesser kudus have five to six more lateral white stripes, for a total of 11 to 15. Both species have a crest of long hair along the spine, and greater kudus also have a fringe under the chin.

Python natalensis, which is commonly known as the southern African python, is a very solid and heavily built snake. The males can weigh up to 44 kg and reach up to 4.25 m in length; whereas the females can weigh up to 55 kg and reach 5.0 m in length. Further north in Africa, they can grow up to 6 m in length, but it is very rare to find such large pythons these days. They are dark brown in colour with grey-brown blotches and dark speckling all over the body.

Their diet includes dassies, cane rats, hares, monkeys, small antelopes and game birds. They also feed on fishes, monitor lizards and crocodiles. Juveniles consume mostly ground-living birds and rodents. Large Southern African pythons can also swallow very large prey, but they become very vulnerable to be attacked by wild dogs and hyenas when swollen with food. They ambush their prey and constrict them before swallowing them. They may go for long periods without food, especially if their last meal was a large one.
