One of the biggest mistakes riders make is trying to fight the bike all the way down.

The key is controlled momentum, good body position and looking well ahead.

Use your legs to support and control your body, not your arms and hands. Keep your knees slightly bent, your hands light and your upper body relaxed.

As the gradient gets steeper, adjust your body position further back while staying balanced and allowing the motorcycle to move underneath you.

And remember, going slower doesnโ€™t always mean having more control. On a big ADV bike, losing too much momentum can actually make the bike harder to manage.

Smooth riding isnโ€™t about being the fastest rider on the road. Itโ€™s about being controlled, confident and predictable.

Look through the corner. Let the vanishing point guide your throttle. Keep your elbows loose, use your head and body, and donโ€™t rush your inputs.

When overtaking: look, decide and go. If you canโ€™t see, you donโ€™t go.

Most importantly, ride at your own pace. Start slow in and build smoothly on the way out. Speed comes with confidence and experience.
