Idube is a safari lodge situated in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, in the heart of South Africa’s premier wildlife conservation area of the Greater Kruger Park. Game, including the Big 5, is viewed really close by from open Landrovers, or spotted on guided walks. All our experienced rangers and trackers are trained to give guests the best possible wild life experience.

The lodge has 10 comfortable chalets, set amongst green lawns and shady trees. In between drives, guests can enjoy the pool and bird watch, or relax on their private decks and watch the warthogs and the nyala families on the lawn.

The swimming pool is well situated for both bird watching and game viewing, whilst cooling off with a refreshing drink in hand. Many guests prefer just to sit on their private deck enjoying the quiet and watching squirrels, monkeys or the many other creatures that have made Idube their home.

"Sherreen at Pride Lodges was recommended to me by friends in Chicago who grew up in South Africa and know her. I contacted Sherreen and asked her to plan a trip for me and my 2 kids (25 and 22) to South Africa. I wanted to go to Cape Town, wine country (Franschhoek) and then on a Safari. Its a big trip coming all the way from Chicago so I needed a lot of help. I can't even begin to tell you how easy Sherreen made it for me. Once I told her the flights I wanted to take from Chicago, she planned everything. She asked me about my budget, what types of things we like to do, etc. and then she recommended an itinerary. I spent 4 nights in Cape Town, 2 nights in Franschhoek and 4 nights at Kambaku River Sands on a safari. Everything Sherreen planned was perfect and everything went like clockwork. With rough-clad walls, gentle curves and plenty of African charisma, Garonga Safari Camp is a sensuous safari lodge in the Makalali Private Game Reserve outside the Kruger National Park near the Timbavati Game Reserve.

Garonga Safari Camp has tented double rooms and a magnificent thatched suite complete with private pool. Umlani Bushcamp's beautifully designed eco lodge is off the grid and beaten tourist track, offering intimate and thrilling wildlife encounters, award-winning meals and a chance to reconnect with nature in one of Africa’s world-renowned, unspoilt wilderness reserves.

The four double huts with en-suite facilities including an open-air bush shower sleep a maximum of two guests each. The four family huts (with en-suite facilities) each come with a double and two single beds accommodating a family of four. All huts are comfortably fitted with white mosquito nets, crisp white linen and towels as well as with standard bathroom amenities, bottled water (although the tap water is perfectly safe to drink) and insect repellent. The Eco Rondavel has been built to enhance thermal storage qualities, it is lovely and warm when cold outside and much cooler when hot outside. Same “close to nature” experience with outdoor shower and bathroom but with a few extra luxuries. Two guests can be accommodated in the Eco Rondavel.

Bateleur Safari Camp is ideal for couples, singles and small groups who are looking for a Timbavati safari that simultaneously exceeds expectations and offers an up-close experience of the true African bush and wildlife. Bateleur is totally eco-friendly!

The wooden deck extends past the adjacent chemical-free swimming pool which allows guests to cool off in the heat of the day without missing the wildlife and birdlife that frequent the waterhole. The central area is completed by a tastefully finished, low-walled boma area open to the stars with chairs set up around a central fireplace. This is an ideal place to relax around the fire and share stories of the day’s activities under a big African sky.
