More and more women are taking up adventure biking .
Winter is coming! I so often get questions about my gear - so I just made a video for YouTube about the motorcycle gear I wore to Nordkap (this is for riding in cold temperatures from -5 to 25 degrees Celsius - wouldnât wear that in Africa though). Head over to my channel if you want to get some tips for proper layering - and see what underwear I use. đ ( YouTube.com/got2go )

And because people seem to think I get paid for everything: I bought all the gear myself when corona hit. Its not on this picture - but do you think Klim would allow me to pair their jacket with a much more comfortable bmw motorrad pants if they sponsored me? Yeah, I donât think so either. Nobody pays me for filming this - and yes, I as well bought my Yamaha Tenere myself and did NOT get it for free from Yamaha (thatâs why I could ride the BMW GS of my friend to Nordkapp at all). I consciously decided a while ago to go without any big sponsors as long as my financial situation allows it - because I rather want to try more things and be honest about my experiences than getting money and not being able to criticize anymore.
All bodies are different, all motorcyclists are different - itâs very unlikely to find one brand that can equip you completely. Itâs as well not necessary to buy only motorcycle gear (for example with the base layers, I talk about that in the video too). If you do any other outdoor sports like skiing your warm underwear will be great for motorcycling too. Donât believe the brands that want to make you buy everything because itâs âmade for motorcyclistsâ. Same fabrics, same function. Look into your wardrobe and check what you already got - most of my layers are from 2016 and they still go strong 4 years later.
