Tappie (hen) and Chappie's (rooster) new chicken house! We built a small triangle cage plus house for them when they were baby chicks. Then suddenly, they grew up and their cozy cage is now a little tight.

So we jumped in and built a new house with a much bigger roaming field! Moving them over later today!

Community is a beautiful thing.
Watching people grow food together, share what they have, and move money where it's needed reminds me that we've lost something along the way.

The Western world has given us so much, and I'm grateful for that. But living here has shown me that convenience isn't everything.

It's not always easy. It's rarely convenient. But it is deeply wholesome.

These teenage dinosaurs (6 months) arrived yesterday. They make the cutest sounds and watch the sun rise (see in last image)

All this while we prepare a big tyre cage for our 120 quails who will hatch anytime over the next three days!
