At Apescape, we’re proud to partner with businesses creating meaningful impact in the communities they operate in like in the Okavango Delta, who are currently supporting an orphaned elephant named Joy 🐘

Meet Joy or Boitumelo in Setswana.

Orphaned at just a few months old, Joy now relies entirely on human care, with one goal: to one day return to the wild independent, confident, and part of a herd once more.

Through Xigera’s partnership with Elephant Havens Botswana’s only elephant orphanage and donations made on behalf of valued partners, together we help provide Joy with:

• 5,840 litres of milk each year
• Bottle feeding every three hours, day and night
• Constant protection, guidance, and care

With Africa’s elephant population now estimated at just 415,000, calves like Joy represent something incredibly important: hope for what can still be protected.
