Zambia has without a doubt some of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa if not even in the world. It’s a very safe destination and got very friendly people. Yet is still widely unknown. Zambia is named after the Zambezi River, which is the fourth largest river in Africa and got its source in the northwest of the country. The Victoria Falls, regarded as the largest curtain of water, are one of

the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage. The second largest Wildebeest migration in the World takes place in Liuwa Plain National Park in Western Zambia. The biggest mammal migration in the world can be witnessed in Kasanka National Park in the North of Zambia. The Luangwa Valley in the East of Zambia is nicknamed “Valley of the Leopards”. Canoe Safaris are a great experience and are offered on the Zambezi River and Lunga River. Kafue National Park is the largest and most diverse of them all in Zambia. It’s all here in Zambia and is awaiting you. We are specialized in Solo Tours and Family Safaris. Our safaris are strictly Photographic Safaris with a focus on nature, wildlife and scenery. Zambia is home to 72 different tribes and languages. Their cultures and traditions are vibrant. You can get a glimpse of it when attending traditional ceremonies, like the Ncwala of the Ngoni’s, Kulamba of the Chewa or the Kuomboka of the Lozi people. Come with us on a safari of your lifetime. Life at Luangwa Bridge Camp is about more than safari. In the evenings, the sandy banks of the Luangwa River become a football field where kids, staff, and visitors come together for a game.

Set on the border between Zambia and Mozambique, this part of the Luangwa River is not only beautiful but full of everyday life and community spirit.

No fancy pitch, no equipment — just a ball, open space, and a lot of energy. The setting makes it even more special: the Luangwa River flowing nearby, hills in the background, and the last light of the day over the valley.

These simple moments are part of what makes Luangwa Bridge Camp unique. It’s not only about wildlife and landscapes, but also about people, community, and life along the river.

Lilongwe is more than just a stopover — Malawi’s capital has its own quiet charm. 🇲🇼

Start your city tour at the impressive Kamuzu Mausoleum, a landmark dedicated to Malawi’s founding president.

In the heart of the old town stands the historic Clock Tower and WWI Memorial, built in remembrance of soldiers from Nyasaland — present-day Malawi — who served under the British Empire during the First World War. It remains one of the city’s most important historical landmarks.

Sports lovers should pass by the massive Bingu National Stadium, home to Malawi’s biggest football matches and national events. The modern stadium has become one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

For nature and conservation, the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre is a must-visit. Hidden within the city, this sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife while offering peaceful walking trails through indigenous forest.

Looking for a place to stay?
• Latitude 13 Degrees – stylish boutique comfort with great food and atmosphere
• Mitengo House – elegant garden accommodation known for its peaceful setting and excellent restaurant
• Kumbali Country Lodge – perfect for a quieter countryside feel close to the city
• President Hotel at Umodzi Park Resort – ideal for business travelers and luxury stays
• Barefoot Lodge and Safaris – relaxed safari-style accommodation popular with overland travelers
• Sunbird Lilongwe Hotel – a classic central option for exploring the capital

Lilongwe may be calm compared to other African capitals, but its mix of history, wildlife, and welcoming atmosphere makes it worth slowing down for.

Kundalila Falls – one of Zambia’s hidden gems 🇿🇲💦

Located near Kanona in Central Province, Kundalila Falls drops approximately 70 metres into a beautiful gorge surrounded by miombo woodland and dramatic rock formations. The name “Kundalila” comes from the Bemba language, meaning “crying dove” – inspired by the sound of the falling water echoing through the valley.

What makes Kundalila special is not only the scenery, but also how accessible it is. Unlike many remote waterfalls, Kundalila can easily be reached with a normal salon car during the dry season, making it a perfect weekend escape or stopover when travelling between Lusaka, Kasama, Bangweulu or the Northern Circuit.

✔️ Easy access
✔️ Spectacular viewpoints
✔️ Great picnic and camping spot
✔️ Excellent overnight stopover
✔️ Ideal for photographers and nature lovers

Whether you are looking for a peaceful break on a long journey or simply want to discover another side of Zambia, Kundalila Falls is absolutely worth the detour.

This year, the Victoria Falls are a true marvel. Massive volumes of water are pouring down the mighty Zambezi River, and the largest curtain of falling water is shining in all its glory.
The thunder of the falls is powerful, and the mist rises high into the sky — visible from far away. A truly breathtaking spectacle of nature at its finest. 🌊✨

Across Malawi & Zambia – 13 Days on Africa’s Wild Roads

From the wildlife-rich floodplains of Liwonde National Park to the remote roads of northern Zambia and the thunder of Victoria Falls, our latest overland safari became a true African expedition. Over 13 days and 12 nights, we crossed Malawi and Zambia through lakeside villages, mountain roads, border posts, waterfalls, and hidden wilderness areas. Challenging road conditions in northern Malawi and Zambia tested both vehicle and driver, but rewarded us with unforgettable landscapes, authentic encounters, and experiences far beyond a traditional safari. One thing became clear along the way: Africa is best experienced slowly, and this incredible route deserves at least 16 days to fully enjoy the journey....

Experience an unforgettable overland safari through Malawi and Zambia, from Liwonde National Park and Lake Malawi to Kalambo Falls and Victoria Falls.

A few days ago we went to Liwonde National Park in Malawi. The lifeline of the park is the Shire River — a ribbon of water that pulls everything toward it, especially in the dry season.

Here, the rhythm of the bush feels different. The river dictates the day. Early mornings bring soft light over the water, with pods of hippos grumbling and crocodiles warming up on the banks. By midday, elephants gather in impressive numbers, crossing from one side to the other, sometimes swimming — a sight that never loses its magic.

A few things that make Liwonde special:

It’s one of Malawi’s premier wildlife reserves, covering roughly 550 km² along the Shire River.

Once heavily poached, the park has seen a remarkable recovery thanks to conservation efforts led by African Parks.

Today, Liwonde is home to the “Big Four” — elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo — with rhinos reintroduced into a protected sanctuary.

It’s one of the best places in the region for boat safaris, offering a completely different perspective compared to traditional game drives.

Birdlife is exceptional, with over 400 species recorded — from fish eagles calling over the river to colorful bee-eaters lining the banks.

Crossing borders reminds us of something important — the wilderness doesn’t recognize lines on a map. It flows, just like the Shire River, connecting landscapes, wildlife, and stories.

And sometimes, stepping just a little beyond home gives you a fresh appreciation for it.

First Safari of the Season: The Return to the Bush

Four nights, two remote camps, and no crowds — just the raw wilderness of Kafue. Our first safari of the season took us deep into Kasabushi and Musungwa with fully serviced mobile camping, where a pack of 13 African wild dogs, sable antelope, elephants, and intimate moments like a tiny baby puku defined the experience. No lions, no leopards — just a reminder that the best safaris aren’t about ticking boxes, but about immersion, atmosphere, and truly wild encounters....

🌿 Our first safari of the 2026 season is complete — and what a start it was.

We left Lusaka and spent 4 nights exploring Kafue National Park, with 2 nights in Kasabushi and 2 nights in Musungwa.

Campfires under star-filled skies.
The distant calls of the bush at night.
Early mornings tracking wildlife through the grasslands.

From the colorful Lilac-breasted Roller to the curious Greater Kudu and the unforgettable sight of African Wild Dogs, Kafue reminded us again why this place is so special.

And honestly … we're already missing the sounds of the wild.
