WORLD CLEAN-UP DAY WAS A SUCCESS! — Livingstone Leads by Example!

What a powerful morning at Maramba Stadium, Livingstone!.

The Keep Livingstone Clean, Green and Healthy Committee clean-up, held under the theme “From Clean Plates to Clean Cities” brought out true community spirit and we are proud of the turnout!

A big thank you to our leaders who led from the front:
LTA Chairman Paul Mupinde ,Livingstone City Council Town Clerk Sombo Kawilila and LCC Director of Health Chileshe Mapemba for gracing the event and showing that leadership is about action.

We also sincerely thank all that showed up , LTA members who came through, with special mention to the teams from Sea Spice Zambia and The David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa for your energy, gloves and commitment to a cleaner city.

This is what happens when the Tourism Industry and the City Council work together— a cleaner, greener, healthier Livingstone, the true gateway to Africa’s wonder.

FROM MOU TO ACTION! 🤝

Livingstone City Council & Livingstone Tourism Association held their first joint meeting following the signing of their 2-year MOU.

The focus? Putting words into action — setting up a Joint Working Group and tackling key issues like infrastructure, safety, waste management, signage and licensing.

Meetings will now be held every last Thursday of the month to track progress.

Together for a cleaner, safer and more welcoming Livingstone! 🇿🇲

The Livingstone Tourism Association L.T.A , led by Chairman Paul Mupinde was pleased to meet with the South African High Commissioner, H.E. Cachalia, during his courtesy visit to Southern Province .

The meeting was held The David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa, also in attendance were LTA board members Hellen Njovu ,Chris Stander and X**a Goodall. The engagement explored strategic partnerships between Zambia and South Africa’s tourism sectors, with discussions focusing on skills training, sustainable tourism, conservation and the shared ambition of reaching 5 million visitors by 2031.
Together, we continue to strengthen collaboration and create meaningful opportunities for tourism growth across the region. 🇿🇲🇿🇦
