Always on the lookout! These Banded Mongooses are the ultimate neighborhood watch. I caught this trio mid-forage, and clearly, one of them took the job of "sentry" very seriously.
​It’s the small, fast-paced moments like these that make being out in the field every day so rewarding. You never know who’s watching you back!

1234567 cubs?

At this age lion cubs are extremely in danger as they get exposed to different threats as they move together with adults. But mothers are always cautious of the surroundings and they make sure to protect these precious little ones. Pride male(s) are not always present as they're out patrolling their territory. They play a very crucial role of protecting the pride from other male lions that my potentially kill the cubs inorder to force the lionesses to mate with them. Therefore pride males make sure this does not occur.
