Holiday season is the WORST time to visit China, EVERY PLACE is crowded, the train stations, airports, public places etc. I can’t even imagine being with them 80,000 people and their smoking & spitting habits. 😅

SAFETY TIPS FOR SOLO FEMALE TRAVELLERS

#1: RESEARCH YOUR DESTINATION

Learn about local laws, customs, areas to avoid, transport options and common scams.

One of the things I do before I travel is to plan my movements. I create an itinerary which helps me on knowing how much money I will spend per day.

I was scammed on transport when I landed in the Philippines. I ordered a taxi that was parked outside the Airport gates (first 🚩 red flag).

I had made a booking to stay at Holiday Inn.

The Taxi driver kept going round and round in circles so that the meter should go up. I ended paying him $100.

It pained me to discover that the hotel was less than 5Km from the Airport. He deliberately used longer routes.

I learned about a taxi app called Grab which I used throughout the selected Asian countries. It saved me so much and it’s affordable too.
