It can also contribute to unhealthy behaviors like extreme dieting or excessive exercise.

Girl Zone 📌

We have seen in Zambia girls become pregnant, become victims of violence,getting infected to sexual transmitted diseases and become HIV-positive. Zambia is among the top 20 countries with the highest prevalence of child marriage in the world and 3rd highest in Sub-Sahara Africa in teen pregnancies with 45% of women aged 25-49 years having been married by the age of 18 and 14per 1000 15-19 year old girls falling pregnant before the age of 18.

This Month Girl Zone Empowerment is ready to empower the girls and women on SRHR .Aiming at letting young girls and women create awareness of Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and promote health as a right that young girls/women should enjoy without any discrimination.As well as reducing the early pregnancies,period poverty, GBV and sexual transmitted diseases.

Girl Zone Empowerment will be having its first ever community outreach engagement experience in kalingalinga compound at youth life project in commamoration of Menstrual Hygiene day where we will be having a pad donation. We have partnered with girl up and softcare zambia .

This will be launched by softcare brand ambassador Cleo ice queen.

The research girl zone empowerment took one of its findings that some girls and women still deal with menstration by using toilet paper,plain cotton wool,non absorbent material,rough dirty cloth,sitting on the sad,sitting on the stones,sponge/mattress,newspapers,banana fibres,leaves/grass,polythene bag/buveera. These are all wrong and unhygienic.

This month girl zone empowerment is ready to advice all girls and women to use the right product during menstruation.
