This view takes my breath away every time🌿Even though it has been THE coffee stop for the last 10 years👌🏽 It’s an absolute privilege to be able to do these early season scouting trips into Lower Zambezi National Park to check on and !! The thrill of putting our trust into the best piece of metal ever made as we grind our way up the slippery slopes and slide into river beds🌿Finding lions at one camp eyeing out Buffalo and then another herd of Buffalo with Elephants at the other camp!!!
THE BEST THOUGH… is the fact that there is nothing there- these animals were ON our sites! A true low-impact Safari where the positive response from fauna and flora is difficult to ignore🐘👊🏽

🌿Leopard Dreaming🌿
A National Park full of massive Winterthorns and relaxed leopards allows us the extraordinary experience of viewing these cats up on the gnarled picturesque branches of these giant trees 🌱The trick is to find a spot where the branches and leaves don’t creep into shot ;)

I haven’t posted for a while but now that camp is packed up I have had a bit of time to settle and think about the incredible sightings we have had in Lower Zambezi and Kafue over 2021🌿 It’s a good time to now start sharing a few photographs and the stories behind them 🐘

There is something super exciting about seeing new Primates when you are exploring Bwindi! 🌿
These L’Hoest’s Monkeys were one of the best characters I have seen on my Safaris! 🌿
The Blue Monkeys in the 2nd to last photo added to the abundance of shouts and chattering in the forest while the Black- fronted Duiker watched us looking for Birds and Gorillas from the other side of the valley paths!🌍🌿🙌🏼

Since Archaeopteryx decided to occupy the skies birds have been adapting to suite their niche in all biomes of the world! The African Skimmer, with a highly adapted bill and wing structure to glide over water and snap fish up, mobbing an apex predator of the Kafue River, the African Fish Eagle!
