African Hoofbeatz is primarily a Internship program developed to encourage overseas riders to come out to Africa and participate in and further develop the horse culture of our continent. Whether it be competing in shows and competitions or helping out in

a local horse riding school or working with equine vets on their call outs in the community. Horses are becoming more of a niche culture with every passing day, and with that we have more horse riders than Horsemen now days. African Hoofbeatz aims to provide a program that can both enrich our local African horse culture and that of the first world countries. There are very few places left it seems on this fine earth where we can shake off the restraints of man, and find out for ourselves just how far a horse will go to show the strength and loyalty that lies within his spirit. To show his speed on the track, nimbleness in the show ring and the very next day his boldness in the bush whilst chasing all things wild.

African HoofBeatz is a 3–12 week horse riding working holiday in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, built for riders who want more than a normal holiday.

You’ll ride daily, learn polocrosse, work with ex-racehorses, improve your horsemanship, go on horseback safari, and live the kind of yard life you can’t really explain until you’re in it.

African HoofBeatz is a 3–12 week working riding holiday based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. It’s for horse girls who want more than a normal holiday: real riding, real progress, and a chance to be part of a small family-run equestrian yard.

You’ll help retrain ex-racehorses, build confidence in the saddle, play polocrosse, and spend your days around horses, sunshine, dust, dogs, and new friends.

And it’s not just about the riding. You’ll also go on a 3-night horseback safari, spend weekends with the team, and experience that rare feeling of being somewhere long enough for it to start feeling like home.
