Heritage Steam Safaris

Heritage Steam Safaris Victoria Falls Premium Train Safaris, Tours & Adventure Jewel.. The fine cuisine and hospitality of our staff on board will surely complete a memorable safari.

Welcome aboard Zimbabwe’s only railroad safari as we journey across this beautiful country in search of knowledge, fun and adventure. In our journey we will explore the vital role played by the rail in the development of the country and the region as we explore Cecil John Rhodes’ vision to connect the Cape and Cairo by rail. Recapture the romance and atmosphere of a bygone era that saw the develop

ment of this Central African region into what it is today. Step into the visions and dreams of men and women as you step aboard our reconditioned wood-panelled coaches. We pride ourselves in connecting with the country’s four World Heritage site, The magnificent Victoria Falls in the North, The Matobo Hills, home of Zimbabwe’s proud heritage including Cave Paintings, King Mzilikazi’s Grave, Rhodes’ World View and more. Just near Matobo Hills is another Heritage site in the form of Khami Ruins, once the Capital of ancient Shona civilisation, after the world famous Great Zimbabwe, which is our fourth World Heritage site.

Something I Have Personally Noticed in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
This is something I have noticed over time while working with lodges, hotels, and tourism properties in Zimbabwe.
In many cases, I contact management or the marketing team to say:
“I’d like to come and do live videos, content creation, and promotion for your property.”
I’m often told:
“Talk to marketing.”
Marketing says, “Send me the details.”
I send messages no response.
I’m then sent to another person, sometimes even the owner.
The owner says, “I’ll pass it to the marketing department.”
And again… no response.
This cycle repeats itself over and over.
What I’ve noticed is this:
Some marketing departments are simply not doing the work. People are sitting in offices, getting paid, but the properties are not being actively marketed. Meanwhile, tourism is struggling and visibility is low.
At the same time, there seems to be a misunderstanding as if Discover Zimbabwe is trying to take someone’s job.
Let me be very clear: I am not here to take anyone’s job.
I have my own work.
I have my own calling.
This is a passion a love for my country.
Marketing Zimbabwe is bigger than one lodge, one hotel, or one marketing officer. No single person can market the whole country alone. We need collaboration, responsiveness, and teamwork.
This is not about competition.
This is about Zimbabwe.
So to marketing departments:
Please reply to messages.
Please engage with people who are genuinely trying to help.
Tourism grows when we work together, not when emails and messages are ignored.
Discover Zimbabwe exists to bring people into the country, create visibility, and support tourism not to replace anyone.
Let’s work together for the good of Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
