Calling all Rangers
πΈ A Call to the Global Ranger Community: Help Us Tell Your Story
Every year, the International Ranger Federation works to tell the story of rangers to the world.
Our goal is simple: to show the courage, professionalism, diversity and dedication of the men and women who protect our planet every day.
But we can't do it alone.
One of the greatest challenges we face is finding high-quality, authentic photographs that represent rangers from every corner of the world. When images aren't available, we are sometimes left with very limited options to illustrate global campaigns and educational materials.
Nothing can replace real photographs of real rangers.
If you've ever wished to see more authentic representation of rangers in our communications, this is your opportunity to help make that happen.
Whether you're a ranger, photographer, protected area manager, NGO partner or supporter, we'd love you to contribute.
We're looking for:
π· Rangers at work
πΏ Wildlife monitoring and conservation
π€ Community engagement
π Air support and K9 units
π₯ Fire management
π¦ Anti-poaching patrols
π Mountain, marine, forest and urban protected areas
π©π½βπ€βπ¨πΏ Rangers of every age, gender, culture and country
Every photo helps us tell the real story of the global ranger profession.
By sharing your images, you're helping ensure that future campaigns showcase the authentic faces, places and experiences of the world's rangers.
Together, we can build an image library that truly reflects our incredible global community.
Because no one tells the ranger story better than rangers themselves.

***A small request from our team: We know how important authentic representation is - and we agree. When real images aren't available, communicators sometimes have to rely on illustrative graphics or AI-generated imagery to tell global stories. Rather than criticising those efforts, we invite you to help us replace them. Every photo you share strengthens future campaigns and helps us ensure the world's rangers are represented by real people, real places and real moments.
