Musango matusadonaensis 🦕
We are very proud of yet another dinosaur discovery! A new species to science, named Musango as the fossils were found within our private concession area, and matusadonaensis because of the proximity to the wonderful Matusadona national park. Matusadona National Park 🇿🇼
The specimen found by Steve and a team of scientists is thought to be 210 million years old. It is described to have been a sub-adult or adult, about 4.5m long with a body mass of 220kg.
The scientific paper was co-authored by Steve Edwards and very touchingly dedicated to the memory of our beloved Wendy;

Musango and the surrounds is proved yet again to be a paleontological epicenter 🦴 and we have only just scraped the surface! (Three more new discoveries are awaiting scientific review - watch this space!) 🦕
