Shuttle or no shuttle?

Please note the proposal to make the Deadvlei shuttle service compulsory has been indefinitely postponed.

This means you are still able to self-drive to the Deadvlei 4x4 parking area which is great news. As always please keep to the designated tracks to limit the damage to this fragile landscape.

For those who aren't keen on driving the 5km of deep sand you will still have the option of the shuttle however it won't be compulsory.

What fuel surcharge?

Fuel surcharges have become common place across the industry with a 13% increase announced by most suppliers for light aircraft transfers and scenic flights. Some lodges have even jumped on the bandwagon and are using the energy prices as an excuse to increase rates for confirmed bookings!

At Africa Driven we don't feel it's fair to charge clients extra after they've confirmed their booking so for any clients with existing bookings with Africa Driven you can rest assured that you won't be asked to pay extra for your trip and these additional charges will be absorbed.
