Some things in this world are simply too extraordinary to lose. 🐘🤍

Today, on World Elephant Day, we celebrate the gentle giants who have shaped Africa’s landscapes for generations.
Intelligent. Loyal. Powerful. And wonderfully full of personality.

At Umdingi Safaris, we’re fortunate to spend our days in the wild places elephants call home — sharing those unforgettable moments with guests and helping people experience Africa in a way that is personal, meaningful, and respectful of the wilderness.

May we always leave enough wild places for elephants to simply be elephants — roaming freely, raising their families, and reminding us just how magnificent the natural world can be.

Happy World Elephant Day from Umdingi Safaris. 🐘🌿
Come and experience the wild with us.

Some mornings you’re perfectly put together. Other mornings you’re an ostrich in Kenya, embracing the windswept look with absolute confidence. We rather admire the commitment.

Day 3 of walking along the Deka River in Hwange National Park. Incredible to note that over the last 3 days of walking there has been no sign of anyone else walking these areas. We were alone with all but the wildlife around us.
With the great rains we received this season the river is still flowing (although the flow is fading as the days pass).

Deka River in the North of Hwange National Park really is a joy to behold. We thought to ourselves that putting a multi day Walking Safari would be a great idea.
Here we are on this incredible adventure, in the middlebof nowhere, with no other people nor vehicles to be seen or heard.

Walking atop of fresh Lion 🦁 tracks this morning was the highlight. (Not forgetting the pride cub footprints).

We have put a five day walking trail together along with Jenman Safaris to make this a reality.

Two Nights at Nantwich Lodge and Three Nights at Bumbusi Camp, this ALL Inclusive getaway truly is a great way to spend a few days.
After a full mornings walk, back to Nantwich for lunch and a dip in the pool.

We have two more openings for a once in a lifetime trip.
Our dates are August 21st through to August 25th and October 10th to October 15th.

We are also able to extend the trips with other options of Safaris and or visiting Victoria Falls!

Black-and-white stripes against a backdrop of blue water and endless skies. Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s most iconic parks, famous for its rhinos, birdlife, and stunning landscapes. Every safari drive here feels like stepping into a wildlife documentary, where even a simple zebra sighting becomes something special.

Join us as we explore the wild corners of East Africa, one unforgettable moment at a time.

Buffalo don’t spend much time worrying about your schedule.

They’ve mastered the art of finding a good patch of grass, enjoying the view, and reminding everyone why they are one of Africa’s most respected animals.

The Masai Mara looking particularly green and beautiful after the rains.
