SPOTLIGHT ON: VICTORIA FALLS REST CAMP
If you are heading to the Victoria Falls on a budget, look no further than the Victoria Falls Rest Camp. The camp is located right in the middle of the town of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, with all amenities within walking distance. The falls - the locals call it Mosi oa Tunya, are just 2km from the camp.
The rest camp has well maintained grass areas and a number of trees, making it a very popular destination for families. The camp has got several accommodation options to choose from, including camping sites, dormitories, self catering accommodation in chalets to a few luxury tented options.
Guests can be accommodated in the following: 10 self-catering lodges (two bedrooms; bathroom; kitchen; ceiling fans), 15 self-catering lodges (two bedrooms; bathroom; kitchen without cooking utensils; ceiling fans), 11 single chalets (two single beds; communal ablution facilities), three double chalets (two bedrooms, small fridge; communal ablution facilities), two dormitories (one for men with nine single beds, one for women with six single beds; communal ablution facilities) and 12 luxury tents (two single beds; lighting).
