Surrounded by stunning scenery, music, memories, and friendship, it felt like stepping right into the movie. A perfect day in Salzburg that they will never forget. 🎶🏞️✨

✨Today, we were following the traces of another Hollywood movie 🎥. ✨

The story that played out at the Altaussee mine ⚒️during the last years of the Second World War, would eventually provide the material for a Hollywood film 🎞️.

Altaussee Salt Mine was originally a working salt mine in the Salzkammergut region, but during the war it was turned into a massive underground storage site by N**i authorities. Between 1943 and 1945, it was used to store:
🖌️Thousands of stolen paintings, sculptures, religious artifacts.

The Corpus Christi celebration (called Fronleichnam) in Hallstatt is one of the beautiful religious festivals in Austria 🇦🇹 because much of the procession takes place on the lake rather than on land. The day begins early as residents decorate traditional wooden boats with flowers and greenery. In the morning, a solemn Mass is celebrated in the Catholic church, followed by a procession through the village to the market square, where blessings, prayers, and music take place. Afterwards, participants board the decorated boats and continue the procession across Lake Hallstatt, stopping for prayers and blessings before returning to shore for the final blessing.
