Enter to Thailand for Australian citizens:

The new visa rules taking effect on 15 September 2026 mean maximum visa-free stay will be cut in half. You can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days (down from the previous 60-day allowance).

If you wish to stay longer, you can still apply for a one-time 30-day extension for 1,900 THB at a local Thai immigration office, bringing your total possible stay per entry to roughly 60 days.

Mandatory Digital Form: Don't forget that you must complete the free online Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 72 hours before your arrival.

Nestled at the heart of Arequipa, Peru, Monasterio de Santa Catalina often referred to a city-within-a-city, it was founded in 1579, this monastery was hidden from the world for almost 400 years, a place where time seems to have stood still, for centuries, the nuns lived almost completely cut off from the outside world.

Fly with Latam airline to Arequipa then half hour taxi ride to the monastery.

Did you know there's a town where national borders run right through restaurants, houses, and even front yards?

Welcome to Baarle-Hertog (Belgium) and Baarle-Nassau (Netherlands). Their border is so impossibly tangled that it cuts directly through the middle of buildings.

To make it weirder:
· Each building has its front door painted with white crosses to mark which country it belongs to.
· And yes, during COVID lockdowns, one side of a store could be open while the other side was closed!
