๐Ÿ‰ A Dragon in the Rainforest
At first glance, it looks like part of the tree. Then it moves.
This remarkable reptile is a Boyd's Forest Dragon, a species native to the tropical rainforests of Far North Queensland. Their incredible camouflage and ancient appearance make them one of Australia's most fascinating rainforest inhabitants.
These dragons spend much of their time perched quietly on tree trunks, relying on their natural colouring to stay hidden from both predators and curious observers.
Seeing one up close is always a reminder of just how extraordinary Australia's wildlife truly is.
