I’ve just spent the last week exploring a small slice of Vietnam with the incredible team at Vietnam Travel & Cruise- vibrant city of Saigon, the peaceful Mekong Delta and the tropical island paradise of Phu Quoc.
Our time in Saigon started with a stay at the beautiful Caravelle Saigon, perfectly located amongst fantastic restaurants, shopping and the energy of the city. We explored some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, the historic Saigon Central Post Office and the Independence Palace. A visit to the War Remnants Museum was incredibly confronting, but also a powerful reminder of the resilience and spirit of the Vietnamese people.
From there, we travelled to the stunning Mekong Delta, cruising along the Ben Tre River, visiting a local coconut processing workshop and gaining a glimpse into everyday life along the waterways. Our home for two nights was the charming Victoria Can Tho Resort, which provided the perfect relaxing escape from the bustle of the city.
The final stop was the beautiful island of Phu Quoc — and it’s easy to see why it’s becoming such a popular destination for a flop-and-drop holiday. We stayed at the gorgeous Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc, tucked away from the busy town centre and home to one of the best hotel pools I’ve ever seen. It was the perfect way to finish this part of the journey.
Next stop… Hoi An!
