🦘Kangaroo Island kangaroos are found across Kangaroo Island, often seen in grassy areas, farmland, and open woodland. They are most active in the early morning and late afternoon, sheltering in the shade during the middle of the day. They live in mobs, similar to other kangaroo species.
Emu Bay Holiday homes have a few areas on the property where the kangaroos like to roam and graze.
Remember they are still wild animals, so keep a safe distance.

Emu Bay is located on Kangaroo Island in South Australia, and is Australia’s third largest island. Emu Bay Holiday Homes is an internationally recognized accommodation facility situated on the western hillside of Emu Bay. The accommodation provides picturesque views over turquoise waters and pristine white sand of the bay and surrounding country landscapes. The property is set on approximately 5.5 acres (2.23 hectares) with much of this given over to lush, sprawling native garden that provides a sense of peace and privacy for our visitors. It provides a natural environment for our native animals including kangaroos, wallabies, koala’s and echidna’s as well as a host of native bird life frequenting the bird bath at each unit. Emu Bay provides exceptionally safe swimming with easy access with your vehicle straight on to the beach.
