✨️ Check out this gorgeous Common Lionfish (Pterois volitans) 🦁

Lionfish are easily recognisable to divers by their long, fan-like fins and their striped red, white and brown bodies 🥰 Don't let their beauty distract you though, they do have venom in their spines in between the fan-like fins 🤯

⭐️ Did you know that Feather Stars (Crinoidea) can kind of swim? 🪶

Feather Stars have a couple options to move around the sea floor. When they want to travel short distances they will use their tiny leg-like appendages called cirri 😮 They also have their feathery arms to swim in the water column, like in the video 🤯

🤩 Check out this Giant Grouper cruising along the reef (Epinephelus lanceolatus) 🪸

There are a couple other names this giant fish can go by, Queensland Grouper or Brindle Bass ✨️ They are the largest reef-dwelling bony fish in the world 🌏 Growing up to a massive 2.7m and weighing around 400+kg 🤯 However, despite their large size, they are often called gentle giants of the reef 🥰

👋 Introducing a master of disguise, the Day Octopus (Octopus cyanea) 🐙

Unlike other Octopus species, the Day Octopus is more likely to explore and hunt during daylight ☀️ They can change not only their colour to camouflage, but also their patterns and texture of their skin 🤯 These colour changes are made by chromatophores which is under direct control of their brain 🪸
