Today started with a great snorkel in the lagoon, with some nice visibility and plenty of marine life to enjoy. Our guests spotted three big rays along with lots of school of fish!

And then came the main event: Swimming with whalesharks!

We were lucky enough to enjoy four swims with the whale sharks!

As if that wasn’t enough, we also spotted humpback whales breaching in the distance!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today and helped make it such a memorable one. We’re so grateful to share these special moments with you.

Today’s tour was full of wildlife, both inside the lagoon and out on the back of the reef. We spotted a nurse shark and stingrays during our morning snorkel before heading outside the reef, where we observed several pods of humpback whales and had multiple swims with a whale shark.

To finish the day, we even spotted a humpback calf breaching on the way home!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us today. We hope you had a great day exploring the Ningaloo Reef!

Wow… what a roller coaster of a day!
We kicked things off with a 10/10 snorkel: incredible visibility and even a beautiful tawny nurse shark making an appearance.
Then, while the ocean went a little quiet, we spotted a manta ray feeding on the surface… so we jumped in for a swim!
A few hours cruising the outer reef later, we spotted a leopard shark gliding along the surface. We were lucky enough to spend around 20 minutes swimming alongside it, with the rays of sunlight illuminating its golden colours. Absolutely magical. ✨
Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, we were interrupted by a whale shark call. After four hours of searching, we finally had the most incredible swims with the largest fish in the ocean.
Days like this are such a beautiful reminder that we don’t own Mother Nature: we are simply lucky enough to experience her.
That’s why we run our tours sustainably. We don’t bait or attract whale sharks. We simply wait, observe, and allow these incredible animals to choose if and how they interact with us.
Wildlife encounters are never guaranteed and that’s what makes the moments that happen naturally so incredibly special. 🌊💙

The BIG 3 Underwater! 🐋🦈✨
There are truly no words to describe today… We’ve officially just had the best day of the season!
We were incredibly lucky to spot humpback whales in the water during our morning snorkel!
Then, things got even better… We had three incredible swims with a male whale shark in the clearest water with a view on the reef.
And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, we finished it off with an unforgettable manta ray swim!
Humpbacks. Whale shark. Manta ray. Dugongs. Dolphins. Turtles......

We’ve had some really good encounters this season so far, and our eco tours are continuing throughout September and October.

Whale sharks are still a priority whenever they are around, but there is plenty of other wildlife to see along the way. Humpback whales, manta rays, turtles, dolphins, dugongs and reef sharks are all possibilities during a day out on the Ningaloo.

Visibility can be really good at this time of year, and you never quite know what might pop up.

Our tours include professional photography and a safety tender during snorkelling activities, helping to make the experience accessible for a wide range of guests.

We take a maximum of 20 swimmers, with only 10 people in the water at a time during whale shark interactions, helping to keep encounters controlled and respectful.

We have availability throughout September and October, so give our office a call or send us an email to check dates.

Check out some of the wildlife we’ve been seeing on tour recently!

September is already off to a great start and we’re excited to see what the rest of the month has in store for us on the Ningaloo Reef.

A common question “What can I see on the ECO TOUR?”
Well…. everything!

We’re still fortunate to swim with whale sharks every day. For exemple today; we swam with a whale shark for 45minutes straight while this male was circling feeding!

We also see the humpback whales making their journey back home to Antartica.
And of course if you’re lucky, you can spot one of our locals: dolphin, dugongs, rays, sharks… of course we do not guarantee this marine life as we do not attract them or bait them but if this is your lucky day, you may be be able to see or swim with some of our cool marine life here in the Ningaloo.
