It sits right in the Gothic Quarter, so you’re in the thick of old Barcelona, the Cathedral practically on your doorstep, with medieval laneways, tapas bars and the Boqueria market all a short wander away. The rooms look out over the rooftops (some straight at the Cathedral), the lobby’s full of velvet chairs and Picasso-style art, and up top there’s a rooftop bar and plunge pool with one of the best views in the city.⁠

We like to try things ourselves before we recommend them ... so last week our advisor Chris flew Emirates Business Class to Barcelona (via Dubai) to see how it’s all running right now.⁠

The short version, it was smooth and stress-free the whole way. No schedule changes, Dubai Airport ticking along nicely, and a quick, easy transit through immigration on the new EES system. Business Class also meant a private driver waiting when she landed, so getting from the plane to the hotel was a breeze.⁠

That’s Chisa Busanga, a tiny, remote camp on an island in the Busanga Plains, one of the most untouched corners of Zambia’s Kafue National Park. Just a handful of hand-woven “nests” (inspired by the weaver birds all over these plains), raised into the treetops with a window above the bed for effortless stargazing.⁠
