🏓INTRODUCING: DONNIE RUSSELL🇹🇭

We’re beyond excited to announce that Donnie Russell will be coaching our Thailand trip this January 2027!

A former collegiate tennis player and nationally ranked table tennis competitor, Donnie brings a multi-sport read on the game most coaches don’t have. Since 2023 he’s competed and medaled across the USA, Thailand, Malaysia and Australia.

His coaching will help move your game forward!

🎾 QPT Hervey Bay Tournament Weekend!

Over the weekend, six players from the Hervey Bay Pickleball Tour took part in the QPT Hervey Bay tournament.

Competition was tough, and the weather certainly didn’t make it any easier — it was hot, windy and challenging! 🥵💨

Despite the conditions, we had a fantastic time. We won some sets, lost a few close ones, and probably lost more than we won! 😂 But that’s what it’s all about — getting out there, having fun, challenging ourselves, meeting new people and making new friends along the way.

A huge thank you to the Hervey Bay Pickleball Club for putting on such a great tournament and for making everyone feel so welcome. 👏

We had a ball and can’t wait to do it all again.

Day 3 of the Hervey Bay Pickleball tour started with a whale watching trip where we saw around 30 whales and multiple breaches and tail flicks.

We then headed back to the Hervey Bay Pickleball Club for a social hit with our new Queensland friends and fellow pickleball fanatics.

Big shoutout to Chris from Hervey Bay Shuttle Services for being our designated driver for the week. He was fantastic!

Day 2 of the Hervey Bay pickleball tour started with our second coaching bootcamp with a focus on tournament play and strategies .

We then had a relaxing lunch before heading back to the courts for a mini tournament. Team Vic took on Team Qld and after three hours of play,Team Vic won 10 rubbers to 8 but Team Qld won overall with more points.

Thanks to the Hervey Bay Pickleball Club for hosting us and to Brad and Craig for the bootcamps and to Brad for organising and coaching the mini tournament. .

Day 1 of the Hervey Bay Pickleball tour was lots of fun

We started the day with a coaching bootcamp session with Pickleball coaching and worked on our d***s, third shot drops and resets.

After a break to have lunch and relax, we returned to Hervey Bay Pickleball Club in the early evening and had a great night playing King of the Court against other interstate and local players.

Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow.
