Season One Finale. Sold out. Freycinet doing its magnificent thing as per usual.

We had a Tassie sampler pack on this trip - moody, warm, sunny and a few sprinkles in between. We met wallabies with absolutely no boundaries (approaching the chippy platter as if they’d paid full price), had bubbles at Wineglass Bay, learnt lifelong skills, witnessed cloud shows that made everything feel cinematic, and had n**e swims in wind still water at last light. A few girls even tried to book a tattoo for the day after. We don’t make the rules.

Eight chicks arrived. A group of friends left. Sick! It’s what it’s all about!

What an ending to our first ever season!

Freycinet Fun is almost wrapped for the season… and this second last trip? One for the books.

We tackled some windy conditions on days 1 & 2, chose our own adventure on day 2…summit mission for some, coastal loop with elite chats and laughs for others.

And then… the grand finale.
 Whole group nudie dip to start our final day in the sun drenched Wineglass Bay! Couldn’t have scripted it better.

Goon was had (yes, some straight off the floor tarp), food was eaten, skills were learnt, and somewhere along the way… the seed was planted for a reunion custom trip 👀 Absolutely here for it!
 Strangers → lifelong friends in a few days.

It’s honestly such an honour to take these groups of women out, hear their stories, and watch it all unfold on trail. Every trip ends the same way… a few happy tears and a lot of “I can’t believe I just did that.”

And now we’re about to do it all again.

Time to reflect on the last Walls of Jerusalem trip of the season… and it honestly tasted as good as those hot cross buns on day two (not pictured)🫶

One of our guests booked this trip as a promise to herself ‘keep being brave and having fun.’ And honestly, she couldn’t have summed up our Easter weekend any better.

A full crew of 8 absolute legends, braving chilly temps, ice-bath cold plunges, and ticking off two summits, all while diving into the most hilarious (and slightly healing) trail chats, eating ourselves silly, and all leaving dreaming about the next adventure.

We woke to the dreamiest foggy mornings before they melted into bluebird days, and wrapped it all up with some of our best batches of Baileys hot chocolates to date 🤤

Safe to say… you really don’t get sick of the views or the vibes out here. Already counting down to next season in the alpine ⛰️✨

Belated International Women’s Day… true to brand we were out of reception in the mountains ⛰️
Every day is women’s day in our books, but we did want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible women who’ve been part of Solo Season so far.
Absolute legends who chose to step outside their comfort zone, learn a new skill, and back themselves. Overnight hiking isn’t just about the trail…it’s about independence, confidence, and all the little things that help us thrive.
We feel ridiculously lucky to have shared the trail with you all so far.
We’d write this in our gratitude journal…
if we were the kind of people who kept one 🫶🏻

Dark M**o done you dirty? 🧟‍♀️  Time to cleanse the sins properly.

We’re not a day hike company…just temporarily possessed by Dark M**o energy.

Escape the city and join us for a 7km alpine mission up Hartz Peak… crisp air, exposed ridgelines, sweeping southwest views and an epic crew of women who are equally keen to get a little wild and a little wholesome.

Mid-hike? Ladies Tarn for a n**e dip. Yes, it’s optional (both the swim and the nudity). Yes, it will be freezing. Yes, you’ll feel like a reborn ice queen afterwards.

No weird vibes. No pressure. Just brave women and very, very fresh water.

Post-plunge we refuel like civilised hikers. Think stacked Huon Valley bakery sambos, hot tea/coffee, a cheeky trail sip, maybe a cider stop on the way home… because balance.

This isn’t a suffer fest.  It’s a winter ritual.  A reset button.  A “remember who the hell you are” day.

Clean air. Cold water. Slightly unhinged women.

Holy s**tWalls….that was sickkk! The Walls of Jerusalem put on an absolute show for our first trip out there!

The walls, women, wildlife, and weather …. WOW.

Even though the Walls of Jerusalem is in an alpine environment, the walk times are short which we love for…. reading kindles in the sun, chatting s**t over a cheeseboard, slow side trips up Mt Jerusalem, and digestive sunset walks.

Nature highlights include: Watching the light change on the walls, the Scoparia in full bloom, bird baths in tarns, and wombat and pademelon sightings!

The possum tax was low - only 1 bag of trail mix was lost!

We can’t wait to get back up there, come and join us in the Walls of Jerusalem in the next couple of months!

What an absolute vibe! We had sunshine, rain, wind but no matter the weather the good vibes never wavered! Whilst perfect weather is the gold standard, it was so good to have irl opportunities to address how to tackle things when it’s not going totally to plan. We shuffled tents to account for a change in wind, we turned back from the summit due to a storm, made a tarp shelter to wait out rain and had heaps of fun doing it!

The storm made for an epic sunset (the best we’d all seen in our lives) and the chill and chats we had were up there with our favourite bits.

It was seriously so good hearing all of the girls stories and what brought them to go on a Solo Season trip. A reoccurring theme of wanting to prove they could do something and wow…. could they do it! All absolute legends who we know will be out on the trail again soon!

Chilly swims, warm meals, big chats, snack breaks that solved everything and the unmatched feeling of crawling into a sleeping bag after a full day outside! What we’re here for!
