2024 Season has come to an end. Another great year and we are very sad to say it will be the last season for Ken and me. Age and energy have finally won the day and retirement is looking good.
We have had the most wonderful 10 years operating Croc and Crab tours, years that will remain a highlight in our lives. It was a very bold and scary decision to move from WA to remote QLD to take on the venture but a decision we have not regretted for a minute.
We would like to thank all the fantastic people who have helped us during the 10 years. Firstly all of our skippers, Russ, Geoff, Simon and Chris who, over the years, have been the most important people on the boat!! To Madge-alias Gwen, I certainly wouldn't have been able to do the job without you. Seven years of fronting up every season and keeping us all laughing.
To our deck hands and 'waitresses' - Pamela, May, Brooke and Corinne thank you for your dedication to the business. In more recent years, Steve who became commentator extrordinare and added to the humour on each and every cruise. We have not only gained friends but also family.
We have been humbled by the friends we have made and the support we have received from locals and local businesses.
Most of all we thank you the public and coach companies for your ten years of support. A special thanks to the crews of the coaches who make our life easy. Special mention to Robin and Maddy who have done the journey with us.
We have really appreciated friends and family making the very long journey to Karumba to visit us, usually being put to work on arrival!!!

However the show must go on and go on it will. New owners Rod and Nicki Petersen will be at the helm for the start of the 2025 season (with a little help from us, hopefully to make transition a little less daunting). Rod and Nicki have a wealth of experience in the marine industry and we have no doubt they will breeze into their new venture without a hiccup. Russ, Pammie and May along with a couple of new faces will be on hand to ensure another great season of Croc and Crab tours.
Best wishes to Rod and Nicki and we are sure you will love the venture as much as we have.

Hi Everyone
Season 2024 is upon us and we are back on the water in this beautiful part of the world. It has been a quiet start to the year, possibly due to the extended flooding of roads in the area (all good now) and I'm sure the cost of living crunch. However if you want to get away from the grind of city living and experience the simple life of the outback then Karumba is a great place to come. We look forward to seeing new faces and return visitors this year. Don't forget to book early as I'm sure it will get busy during the coming 'winter' months.
Also don't forget to book your fishing charter and a visit to the Barra centre is definitely a must.

Back on the water for 2023.
Warm temperatures, not too much humidity, beautiful blue skies.
The area is looking great after a good wet season and if you are concerned about roads after flooding, don't be. The roads are all good.
We are looking forward to another busy year and all the usual crew are here ready to greet you.
