The wind has certainly been testing us…😂🎣🌊

The last few days have seen us battling some pretty windy conditions, but that hasn’t stopped our crews from getting amongst some good Gulf fish. 🐟

A little chop, a bit of spray and plenty of patience — all worth it when the rods start bending!

We’ve had some great crews aboard, plenty of laughs and some quality fish making their way boat-side. That’s what we love about fishing up here — every day throws something different at you.

Windy? Yep.
Worth it? Absolutely! 😂🎣

A windy start, but well worth sticking it out! 🎣🌊

It was a bit windy and choppy to kick things off today, but the grunter and blue salmon were on the chew and kept the rods bending. 🐟

Then the wind finally gave us a break… and the fishing only got better! 🙌

Plenty of fish coming aboard, plenty of action and another great crew to enjoy it all with.

Sometimes you’ve just got to ride out the rough stuff and get amongst it when the Gulf gives you the chance! 🎣

What a start to the day! 🎣🔥

The morning crew hit the water and the fish were red hot — heaps of blue salmon coming aboard along with a couple of nice grunter. 🐟🙌

Plenty of action, bent rods and happy faces made for a cracking morning on the Gulf!

The afternoon made us work a little harder, with the conditions making things a bit tougher. But we stuck at it and managed to get each group a feed to take home. 👌

That’s fishing — some sessions they’re coming over the side thick and fast, and others you’ve got to work for them!

Another great day showing our guests what the Gulf has to offer. 🌊🎣

🎥🎣 A little something different for Kerry D today!

Today we swapped our usual charter crew for a film crew all the way from Melbourne, who joined us on board to capture a little piece of Karumba life for ABC Back Roads.

It was great having them aboard and showing them a taste of what we do here at Kerry D and what the Gulf has to offer. 🌊🚤

We can’t give too much away just yet… but stay tuned! We’ll let you know when the episode is set to air. 👀📺

Pretty exciting to see our little corner of the Gulf getting some time in the spotlight!

When the weather changes the plan… we change the fishing! 🎣🌊

Ben and the grey boat had a full-day charter, but with the weather keeping them from heading offshore, they decided on a sneaky barra fish first up.

And it paid off! 🙌 Some barra made their way boat-side before the crew changed gears and headed out to get amongst some blue salmon. 🐟

Meanwhile, the white boat was kept busy with two half-day charters, finding some good blue salmon along with a few skippies.

That’s fishing in the Gulf — sometimes Plan A goes out the window, but with a bit of local knowledge there’s usually another option! 🎣

Another great day on the water and plenty of fish coming aboard both boats.
