🌴This subtropical island paradise is just one hour from Brisbane and you don’t even need to drive to get there.

Jump on the 11-seat air-conditioned minibus in Brisbane, cruise over the water on a 30-minute ferry to Moreton Bay, and you’ll find yourself on North Stradbroke Island (aka “Straddie”) embarking on a full-day adventure.

We’re talking secret swimming holes, panoramic coastal lookouts, and white-sand beaches that go on forever.

Take on one of Australia’s most stunning coastal walks and you might spot turtles, manta rays, or dolphins gliding through turquoise water. Look up, koalas chill in the treetops, kangaroos hop along the dunes, and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch humpback whales breaching just offshore.

Then cool off in crystal-clear water, sink your toes into the sand, and soak up that island sun before heading home with salt in your hair and a camera roll full of memories.

Here’s what the day looks like:

🚐 Depart Brisbane at 8:30 AM and enjoy a scenic 30-minute ferry ride — keep an eye out for dolphins and whales.

🌊 Explore Point Lookout and the breathtaking North Gorge Walk, famous for ocean views and marine life sightings.

🏖️ Relax with beach time and lunch on the island’s white-sand shores.

🦘 Visit Amity Point, where koalas lounge in the trees and kangaroos roam free.

💧 Cool off at a freshwater lake like Brown Lake or Blue Lake, surrounded by lush bushland.

🌅 End the day with a sunset drink before returning to Brisbane around 7:30 PM.

What’s included:

🚐 Return transport from Brisbane in a 11-seat air-conditioned minibus

⛴️ Ferry tickets, national park entry, and expert local guide

🏖️ Beach games and a complimentary sunset drink

👟 Bring swimwear, towel, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle, camera, and comfy walking shoes

🌊 Tours run Tuesday to Sunday.

🌱 Come and help us plant trees for Minjerribah’s koalas! 🐨

This Sunday, the Stradbroke Island Tours team will be swapping our usual tours for gardening gloves and joining the Community Koala Food Tree Planting Day at Gangaba.

We’d love you to come along too!

Together, we’ll plant native food trees to help restore local koala habitat and support the long-term care and rehabilitation of koalas on the island.

It’s free, everyone is welcome, and no experience is needed — just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to get your hands a little dirty! 💚

Please bring:
