Bardonian is the music project of Brien Hare, an emerging Australian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. After refining his performance skills across the Tweed and Gold Coast music scene through jam nights and open mic setups, he launched the Bardonian project to share his original material with a wider audience.

Original sound lounge has long championed the theory that real growth comes from embracing NEW , pairing locals with touring legends so that the all Important industry connections we need to gain valuable experience can occour organically within our local scene developing and keeping oustanding talent in our region

Our monthly stage at the Good Intent Hotel, South Grafton for Folk and Fringe Fridays allows us to explore that. So who is playing folk and fringe friday this month?

From 7:30-10:30pm

Shannon Kae is an independent Australian singer-songwriter, recording artist, and storyteller based on the North Coast of New South Wales. Based in the Clarence Valley region, she describes her style as “turning stories into songs,” blending acoustic instruments like guitar and keys with emotive string arrangements and harmonies.

In support Kieran Larkey
Kieren id an accomplished Australian artist and composer. Kieren performs dynamic, diverse live sets drawing heavy inspiration from world music and guitar legends like Tommy Emmanuel. He frequently plays at regional markets, events, and venues

based on the North Coast of New South Wales (specifically around the Byron Bay and Ballina regions). He balances a diverse career spanning energetic live musical performances & technical music tuition.

We are spreading the word that south is showing up! We have been asked to host a community meeting to plan for future events in South Grafton this one is organised by NSOA and will discuss what we can do for south in 2027.

Personally ,
I’d love your ideas for 2026 and for what we can build past 2027 and I’ll be there ready to take notes!

Because we aren’t in this for a one-off. We are here to stay and to help build a community with events that last. If you think you can lend a hand come and raise it.

DO YOU REMEMBER CULTURE ON THE CLARENCE LAST YEAR?

South Grafton is showing up 💛

For the last 3 years local businesses have worked together to bring Cultures on the Clarence to life during Jacaranda. We’re so grateful for the community support that’s made it possible.This is the ONE day that brings tourists to the south side + supports 40+ local businesses during Jacaranda Festival.

For 2026, there is no festival support or in-kind road closure available for South Grafton’s day.
So local businesses are pulling together to make sure it still happens because we want consistency for our community.

Last year we put on a family fun day:
Kids rides. Markets. Music.
And it was a hit!
Because you asked for it. Because South deserves nice things we will try our best to present something similar.

Many of you have been in to see us and asked what we can do for 2026.

The answer is: we’re doing it anyway. Together.
