Alyce and Ben have recently returned from a fantastic family getaway to Hawaii, exploring the best of Oahu in April.

Staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, they found it to be the perfect option for families, with everything you need right at your doorstep including restaurants, shops, cafes, direct beach access, and only a short stroll into the heart of Waikiki.

Their trip included seeing Waikiki from above on a helicopter flight, a sunset cruise, touring Pearl Harbor, and hiring a car to explore beyond the main tourist spots. A drive through the botanical gardens and up to the North Shore gave them a completely different side of the island to experience.

The standout moment? The helicopter flight over Oahu. Seeing the lush mountain ranges, waterfalls, beaches and crystal-clear water from the air was unforgettable.

Having visited Hawaii before, they were surprised by how much there still was to discover once they ventured slightly beyond Waikiki. Oahu really does offer a mix of relaxation, shopping, family fun and outdoor experiences all in one destination.
