My L-plates are officially off and the P-plates are firmly in place! 🚍🎉

Bring on 1st June and my very first Cape York tour as Tour Director.

A huge thank you to Trish and Phil for showing me the ropes, teaching me the roads, sharing their wisdom, and somehow surviving a month of me! 😂

Now it’s my turn to take the wheel (well, figuratively—my driver might have something to say about that 😆) and deliver the adventure they helped me learn.

I’m excited, and incredibly grateful. Thanks for being the best mates anyone could ask for.

Cape York, here we come! 🐊🌴☀️

Nine crocodiles on our Daintree River cruise today… even spotted one our guide Al didn’t recognise! 🐊👀

I’m calling it now — if you discover a mystery croc in the Daintree, you should absolutely get naming rights. So everyone, meet “Baby.” 😂

From the tropics of Cairns to bush breakfasts and belly laughs (hi Trish & Phil 💛), this journey had everything.
Lunch at Woodleigh Station with the cutest little local, exploring the ancient Undara Lava Tubes, and even sleeping in a train carriage 🚂✨

Then came a pinch-me moment… sunset on a sandbank in the middle of the Gulf of Carpentaria 🌅 Champagne, prawns, and that golden outback glow.

We waved hello to Purple Pub Normanton (and Krys the croc 🐊) rolled into Mount Isa, and stepped back in time at Hard Times Mine.

Then just like that… a flight home for family time, a quick hello to Sydney, and straight back to doing what I love.

This isn’t just a job… it’s a life I get to live 💫

Saturday done right.

My friend Dan took me out on his 75-year-old Vincent Black Shadow (which feels as cool as it sounds), and we cruised up to Ellis Beach for a drink — ocean, breeze, not a bad office for the day.

On the way back we stopped at a brewery, and I spotted a guy in a “Distil on the Hill” t-shirt. Took a chance and said, “You wouldn’t happen to own this place… I know your mum and dad.”

Turns out — he does. Christian. Son of Francis and Glen. Small world, even smaller when you open your mouth.

Such a great day. I get the Cairns hype now… rain and all.

Officially in travel ooops wok/tourguide mode 💚

Counting down to kick off the season and hit the road again… and this one feels extra special.

Central Queensland, here I come… Longreach, I’ve got my eye on you 👀

Red dirt, big skies, and stories that run deep—especially for a family like mine with a lifetime tied to Qantas and the spirit of travel.

New season, same love for the journey… just with a little more meaning behind every kilometre ✨

Four days, one incredible crew, and that electric feeling you only get right before a season kicks off.
Reuniting, meeting new faces, sharing stories, a few laughs (okay… a lot), and that quiet moment where you realise — this is going to be something special.

In just 11 days, we hit the road… and if these first four days are anything to go by, our guests are in for one unforgettable ride.

Here’s to the early mornings, the chaos, the magic, and the moments that bring complete strangers together ❤️
