I used to wake each morning knowing what my future looked like, grateful to put two feet on the ground and embrace another day. A privilege that so many are never given.
Then one day, everything changed. Life changed. I changed.
I’m learning to navigate yet another version of myself. She’s hurting, she’s broken, she’s healing, and she’s happy and then something makes her hurt all over again—all at the same time.
It’s confusing. It’s messy. It’s unfamiliar. It’s a path I never wanted to walk but here I am!
So I keep walking, carrying equal parts grief and gratitude, hoping I will learn how they can exist side by side. Maybe that’s what healing really looks like—not forgetting what was, but finding the courage to keep loving what still is, and so I continue… but I’m thankful for my job, my family, my work family and my friends… you make my world a better place ❤️
