I used to wake each morning knowing what my future looked like, grateful to put two feet on the ground and embrace another day. A privilege that so many are never given.

Then one day, everything changed. Life changed. I changed.

I’m learning to navigate yet another version of myself. She’s hurting, she’s broken, she’s healing, and she’s happy and then something makes her hurt all over again—all at the same time.

It’s confusing. It’s messy. It’s unfamiliar. It’s a path I never wanted to walk but here I am!

So I keep walking, carrying equal parts grief and gratitude, hoping I will learn how they can exist side by side. Maybe that’s what healing really looks like—not forgetting what was, but finding the courage to keep loving what still is, and so I continue… but I’m thankful for my job, my family, my work family and my friends… you make my world a better place ❤️

⚠️ Content Warning: This post discusses su***de and the loss of a friend.

Fifteen years ago I met a bloke at my local chicken shop. Sandra Georgiadis ❤️❤️❤️

Who would have thought that random encounter would turn into a friendship that would span so many years? He became my real estate agent, my regular coffee date, my “Santa”… but most importantly, my friend.

For reasons only known to him, he decided the world would be better without him.

It isn’t.

Just like that, my Santa left earthside.

The hardest part about su***de is that so often the people left behind are searching for answers they’ll never find. If this has taught me anything, it’s that we never truly know the battles someone is fighting behind a smile.

To every man (anyone actually) reading this: you matter. Your life matters. Your mates would rather sit with you through your darkest days than stand beside your coffin wishing they’d known.

Please check in on your mates. Ask the second question. Stay for the answer. Sometimes a simple conversation can mean more than you’ll ever know.

Rest easy, my friend. Thank you for the coffees, the laughs, and your friendship. You will be deeply missed. ❤️

Highlight (ok I have a lot) of the trip! 🐠🌊

For 4.5 years I guided people to the Great Barrier Reef, and all I ever wanted was to teach myself to dive. Funny thing is, despite being a state swimmer, snorkeling (and diving!) completely freaked me out.

Well… yesterday in Bali I finally faced that fear. 💪

I snorkelled with schools of tropical fish… and even manta rays! 🐟✨

Here’s to saying “yes” to things that scare us… 💙🙌
