Our second stop on our self-drive adventure along the Moselle River was the beautiful town of Cochem. 🏰🍻

Nestled on the banks of the Moselle, Cochem is every bit as charming as you'd imagine. Driving into town was unforgettable, with the magnificent Reichsburg Castle perched high above the village, creating the most picturesque welcome.

To experience Cochem from a different perspective, we hopped aboard a relaxing two-hour river cruise, taking in the vineyards, charming riverside villages and postcard-perfect scenery along the way. It really is one of the best ways to appreciate the beauty of the Moselle Valley.

It was a very hot summer's day, so after exploring the town, there was only one thing left to do... sit back and enjoy a cold local German beer! 🍺🇩🇪
