With the April School Holidays approaching, we’re excited to welcome lots of young adventurers back to Kangaroo Island Outdoor Action! 🎓

We teach kids from as young as 6 years old how to safely ride their own quad bikes before heading out on the trails through bushland, grasslands and areas regenerating after the bushfires.

When visiting us, you’ll receive a private tour upgrade (valued at $397) when booking:
☼ All Terrain Quad Bike Tour – w/ a rider aged 11 years or younger
☼ Edge of the Earth Quad Bike Tour – w/ a rider aged 15 years or younger

And if you’ve never paddled before, the Harriet River is one of the safest places to learn, using our stable sit-on-top kayaks. 🛶

Our Eco-Adventure Assistant Matilda turns 16 today! 🎈

Matilda started with us in 2023 and has been an absolute gun from day one. She launches the kayaks, sets up the bikes and buggies for tours, signs in our lovely guests, refuels the bikes, and makes sure all our equipment is clean and ready to go.

She does it all with such a friendly attitude and an incredible work ethic.

Happy Birthday, Matilda. We’re so thankful for you and can’t wait to see what adventures your journey brings 🎈✨

Single + Double sit-on-top kayaks available for hire every day at 9:30am, 1pm and 4pm 🛶

Meet at 188 Jetty Road to sign in and collect your PFD and backrest, then drive a short distance to the Harriet River. We’ll give you a quick rundown of the kayaks, paddles and the river before you head off on your self guided paddle.

When you’re finished, return your PFD and backrest to the office.

On our guided quad bike tours, you’ll experience a real mix of terrain. You’ll often start riding through bushland and may move into grasslands before riding through bushfire-affected areas and seeing the incredible regeneration. 🍃

For those up for a challenge, there’s also some real rocky terrain where the quad bikes really shine. If you choose the 170-minute tour, you’ll ride all the way to Cape Kersaint, one of our most beautiful and remote sections of coastline. 🌱

With a wide range of trails, each tour is adapted to suit the riders, from 6-year-old and first-time riders to those who’ve been riding their whole lives. 🌿
