EXPERIENCE ONE OF THE GREATEST BATTLES OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR
Our private guided tour to Bastogne War Museum and sites offers you a contemporary interactive context of the causes, events and consequences of the Second World War,
with a particular emphasis on the Battle of the Bulge.
Start from your hotel in Brussels with your driver guide and head to Bastogne (2hours). On the way your guide will tell you about Belgium, about the Ardennes, its people, culture, economy and of course history. Once at the Bastogne War Museum enjoy an immersive self-guided walk through the exhibition. Experience your visit through the eyes of four protagonists of the Battle of the Bulge and discover the story of Bastogne and its inhabitants through their lives lived during the winter of 1944. The audioguide allows you to follow the paths of these characters, never destined to meet if it weren’t for the events of 1944. Each character presents their own vision of the conflict, a story which is at times happy, at times sad. It’s an immersive experience that gives visitors the impression of an intimate relationship with each character. The characters are inspired by real facts and their stories later embellished with fiction. However, as with all the contents of the Bastogne War Museum, the stories have been verified by a committee of renowned researchers to best represent the reality of the times. Next see the Mardason Memorial and the Foxholes at Bois Jacques. Last but not least drive thru the village of Foy (Band of Brothers) before we head back to Brussels (2h).
