I love looking back at vacation pictures. Mentally transporting me to smiles, laughter, and great adventures. Seeing this photo of my then 3 year old daughter playing on the Forbes Hill beach on our first trip to Exuma has me all smiles.

It was a rainy December 26th day back in 2010 that we decided to leave the small house we rented in George Town and go explore the island. We saw the Beach Access sign for what we later learned was Big Bay in Forbes Hill and enjoyed the day. I was hooked.

2 years later I couldn’t stand comparing other vacations to what I felt in Exuma and we retuned. Landed, checked in to a house, and right back to Big Bay. It was only days later that we found out there was an open lot on the picturesque crescent cove connected to the west…and the rest is history.

Drama in the skies means incredible electric blues on the ocean. Because the ocean is to the north of house, when the storms pass over the ocean, its color gets so vibrant with the sun shining down on it from the south. Beautiful to see in photos, amazing to see in person.
