Here's a preview of Natural Selection's newest addition to its premier collection. Mokolwane Plains opens in July 2027, featuring 5 spacious under-canvas suites designed to immerse guests in the landscape.

Mokolwane Plains lies within NG29, one of Botswana's largest private concessions - 200,000 hectares, more than twice the size of New York City. This concession is home to Africa's third-highest recorded leopard density and has become known for its rewarding leopard encounters. The BBC series 'Big Cats 24/7' and Netflix's 'Living with Leopards' were filmed here. Red lechwe, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest and kudu are common, as are large herds of African elephant and buffalo. This abundance of prey supports an impressive concentration of predators, including lion, African wild dog, spotted hyena and cheetah. The Xudum Pride, Africa’s largest lion pride, calls this landscape home.

A truly well-rounded Okavango Delta experience awaits at A&K Sanctuary’s Baines’ Lodge and Stanley’s Camp, both set within a private concession.

This weekend, Seth had the chance to experience both properties. While each offers its own distinct style—Baines’ Lodge as the newly rebuilt, more intimate retreat, and Stanley’s Camp as the classic, family-friendly sister camp—they share the same incredible location and access to unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Game viewing exceeded all expectations, with multiple big cat sightings and a particularly active hyena den in addition to general game. As winter approaches and the migratory birds begin their journey onward, the resident species ensure exceptional birding year-round.
