A mobile safari means the camp comes to you — not the other way round. Our scheduled departures move camp to camp through the Delta and the pans, with lunch served at the next site and evenings closing around a fire under an unfiltered sky.

The guide matters more than the tent, and Wilderness Dawning has been picking theirs the same way for almost 30 years.

A mobile safari lives or dies on its guide — Wilderness Dawning has spent nearly three decades building a reputation for recruiting and training some of Botswana's most experienced guiding talent, with everything and everyone personally overseen by our founder Craig.

Two game drives a day are standard: first light for predator activity, a return for brunch through the heat of the day, then out again from around 4pm into early evening, making the most of the place and the guide.

Different ground, different animals — that's the whole point of a multi-region route.

Botswana's ecosystems don't overlap much, and neither does their wildlife. The Makgadikgadi Pans hold species you won't find in the Delta — brown hyena, Kalahari lion — while the Okavango's waterways bring elephant, leopard, and wild dog into range. A route that crosses both, rather than settling into one camp, means guests see the difference rather than reading about it.
