Do you have Mother issues? Kombucha Mothers, that is!

A kombucha mother is also known as a SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria & Yeast). This floating gelatinous puck is what's responsible for fermenting tea and tea like beverages into kombucha!

Our beautiful float at the Blossom Parade was so eye-catching and dazzling in the sunlight with it's band of gems that it's a good thing traffic was already stopped!
Advertising not only this year's fair taking place on September 11 & 12th at Creston Flat's Stables, we see our theme for this year showcased in style: Rhinestone Cowboy.

Much gratitude to the board member who dedicated their time and energy to this project, and of course many thanks to our float driver!

This year we are pleased to feature Rob Davidson doing a stock dog demonstration using his dog and sheep.

You can see an example here of this delightful sport. Maybe the dog is getting the most exercise but these trainers have so much dedication, it's incredible to witness the bond they have!

Keeping skills alive to pass on to the next generation is something we're passionate about, who knows, maybe Creston's next star herder will be in the audience!

Gatekeeping at the Creston Valley Fall Fair is a 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 intended for a group of between five and six people, typically from a community group.

This is an excellent opportunity for a community organization and tends to be competitive, so submit your applications as soon as possible.

If you've been considering competing in our new category take a look at our freshly minted rules and regulations (everyone's favorite past time is browsing regulations, isn't it?)

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

* Tables will be provided by the Fair.
* All items must stay within the 4' x 4' display space.
* Entries must reflect the “Rhinestone Cowboy” theme.
* Be creative — think western sparkle and flair.
* Only one place setting is permitted:
* Plate
* Cutlery
* Glass
* Napkin
* A centerpiece is mandatory and should complement the theme.
* Decorations are encouraged but must be safe and secure.
* No open flames; battery-operated candles only.
* No perishable or strongly scented items.
* Setup must be completed during assigned times.
* Displays must remain in place until the end of the Fair.
* Entries will be judged on:
* Creativity
* Theme
* Overall look
* Attention to detail
* Please do not include names or identifying information in your display.
* Have fun and bring your best “Rhinestone Cowboy” style!
* Entry fee: $5
* Prize: $25 gift certificate to Grater Good

Nothing to do now but dream about your perfect placement! When booklets are released there will be a new category for this competition and we'll be sure to let you know when that happens.

Farmer's Olympics.

We're here to watch legends, triumphs, and we'll admit, the failures are definitely entertaining, and isn't that what it's all about?

This event certainly lends itself to the theme of our Fair this year: Rhinestone Cowboy.

We can envision a field of glittering cowpokes, bedazzled to put shame to the sunrise. But the only question is, are you tough enough to rock a rhinestone regalia and flatten the competition? Better start that get-up early, it's not going to make itself!
