Meet Karen, Skican President and Ski Escape Host🎿

Karen’s love of travel started long before her time in the ski industry. Fun fact: at 23, she hitchhiked across Central America and learned Spanish along the way (which pairs perfectly with her fluent French!) 🌎 🎒

Ask her to choose a favourite ski destination and she’ll tell you there are far too many great mountains to pick just one. However, a recent trip to Chamonix definitely holds a top spot. Skiing the iconic Vallée Blanche with her teenagers is a breathtaking experience she says she will remember forever!⛷️ 🏔️

Karen believes the best ski trips aren’t only about the skiing. They’re about the people you share them with, the stories you bring home and the moments that stay with you. She has plenty of stories of her own—including a Marvin the Martian tattoo she got at 18 that she admits seemed like a much better idea at the time!

Her philosophy, on and off the mountain?
Laugh. Ski. Be Kind. ✨
